Trubetskoy Chateau and the Kherson mountains

We meet with the guide and go to see the watchtower of Vytautas, built at the end of the XIV century. This watchtower is the only defensive structure of the time of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas, which has survived to the present day. The tower also survived the times of the Crimean Khanate and was later converted by Count Peter Trubetskoy into a water tower.
Next, we will visit the Chateau of Count Trubetskoy in the village of Kazatsky, which is one of the largest architectural ensembles of the Kherson region.
We will see a unique phenomenon for the steppes of Kherson – waterfalls.

Excursion with tasting in the winery of Count Trubetskoy.
A representative of the princely family, Pyotr Trubetskoy, made a huge contribution to the development of domestic winemaking.
Having received through his grandfather Orlov-Denisov the Cossack estate, located 70 km northeast of Kherson, he expanded it to an area of 67,000 acres. Over time, it has become a model winery.
The first vineyards were planted in 1896. By 1910, they occupied about 200 acres, and they grew such high-quality varieties as Pinot-Franc, Pinot-Gris, Sauvignon, Cabernet and Riesling.
Count Trubetskoy winery produced 14 types of dry table wines.
Today we have the opportunity to go on a tour of the only real Chateau in Ukraine. The guide will take you to the historical cellars and tell you the history of the Winery of Count P. N. Trubetskoy, show you all the valuable collections and conduct a tasting.

We go to the Kherson mountains (Stanislavsky Grand Canyon). Tourists are given an hour of free time for a short walk and atmospheric photos.
